Korptjernet i Totenåsen Naturreservat var et vidunderlig lite tjern, hvor jeg fant en stor, indre ro. Håper å komme hit igjen før vi stikker til Lom, eller jeg stikker til det hinsidige. Regner med at jeg faller om av hjerneblødning en dag, grunnet all harkingen fra kolsen fra fabrikken min, med sprengt blodkar. Har jeg flaks skjer dette ved Korptjernet. Begrepet "Angstraum" var godt, det er jo slik vi føler det når vi går ut i Grythengen også, at vi går ut i et "Angstraum". Samme med lommehullet vårt i Gjøvik, et "Angstraum", voktet av universets ondeste covert-høne. Hvor hele Gjøvik, og Mjøslandet med, i grunnen mer og mer kjennes som et kjempestort "Angstraum". Norwegian Nå var det bare så vidt jeg klarte å komme meg opp fra Skreia igjen, for i butikken lyste overskrifta mot meg fra OA, det blir solkraftverk ala 200 fotballbaner i Vardal! Enda en grunn til ikke å vende tilbake til Gjøvik, og disse har jammen blitt mange de siste tre årene, for om Vardal var det da hyggelig å sykle en tur. Så nå kan man ikke dra på sykkeltur lenger i Gjøvik heller nå, og fotturer er jo ikke lenger noe å glede seg over, etter at de snauhogde Hovdetoppen og folkestiene i Øverbymarka. Så det gjelder å gjemme seg vekk et sted på Toten, så får vi tro vi slipper det verste her? Og når sant skal sies, så finnes det en del hyggelige folk her, og Totenvika og Stange skolekorps er riktig trivelig. Allikevel, vi må få kontroll på økonomien nå, gjennom et komplett demokrati. Samtidig foregikk det storstilt hugst av eik til kullbrenning ved de mange jernverkene. Behovet for kull var enormt, og all lett tilgengelig skog blei avvirka (Heggland 2006). De siste femti åra har det blitt drevet et bevisst treslagsskifte. Eik har blitt erstatta med gran som har raskere vekst/høyere produksjon, noe som gir grunneier raskere utbytte. Eik har blitt hogd for å gi lys til granplantefelt og etterlatt i skogen, eller eika har blitt gitt bort på rot til vedhogst, for så å bli erstatta med gran.
