What a place, what a time, what a grace! Even Venice can take a rest these days. I wish I could stay there now, photographing empty streets, thanks to the Corona virus.

Painting by Canaletto, before 1742. Hanging in the Art Museum of Milan.

As "The Last supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci was sold out for the next 12 weeks, we had to settle for "The Sala delle Asse", a kind of room decoration.

"The Sala delle Asse (In English: 'room of the tower' or 'room of the wooden boards'), is the location for a wall and ceiling painting in tempera on plaster, of decorated "intertwining plants with fruits and monochromes of roots and rocks", by Leonardo da Vinci, dating from about 1498 and located in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan." - Wikipedia

We were a couple of days in Milan the summer of 2019. I didn't know much about the city and doesn't know a lot more now, it was Venice I fell in love with, and the modernists had surrounded the city with their disturbing skyline. I don't regret to have been there, but don't plan to go back.

I'll go through the few images I got from this city when I've time, and post a new image now and then.
