Peder Balke was a famous painter born at Helgøys Iceland in the middle of Lake Mjøsa. This is the Peder Balke Center at Billerud Farm at Østre Toten, where there's also a nice cafè in summertime, and sometimes concerts. Peder Balke decorated many of the rooms here with painting directly at the walls. Click on the image for a magnification.
