The Religion of Progress is the Real Threath

Berge is very aware of that we reached peak finance in 2014, and that After Peak Finance (APF) every attempt to save humanity is a waste of time.

His proposal was rejected by the Research Council of Norway in 2014, the same year as the world saw PF. It was our last chance! APF I cannot see a transformation to be possible.

Further, ABBs religious and ethnic struggle is just a distraction. The real problem is the religion of progress. It is this faith that brought us here, to the edge of the cliff, and which is hindering every attempt to mute the crash and make life a little easier for possible survivors.

Also, what will happen with people's minds when they realize the glorious future their religion of progress promised them was a fake? I think they might totally freak out!

Om Greer har rätt i att vi moderna människor har utveckling och tillväxt som en slags tro eller religion så kommer vi att bli rejält vilsna när det visar sig att den tron är felaktig. Jag undrar vilka konsekvenser det får. Jag misstänker att många kommer att bli modstulna, deprimerade eller rent aggressiva. Jag syftar nu inte på någon slags apokalyps eller ekonomiska depressioner med massarbetslöshet etc., de kommmer förstås att drabba hårt även på ett psykologiskt plan, jag tänker på vad som händer när insikten kommer att ”det blir bättre för barnen” eller ”det blir bättre sen” inte är sant, hur vi kommer att reagera på det. (Det blir nog inte vackert.) 

Ett slut på tillväxtdrömmarna kan alltså komma att utlösa massor av psykiska problem – utöver dem man som individ drabbas av rent praktiskt i en tid av allmän nedgång. Det är nog värt att fundera över. Möjligen måste vi börja tänka på, och planera för, hur vi ska hantera en brusten tro på framtiden.

Here's Berge doing a great job in enlightening people! The sooner people realize that progress was a fake, the better. This can help people to react and act with some dignity and wisdom. And increase the possibility of survivors of humanity.

After collapse and Antropocen humans will see a very different world from the one we evolved around the last hundreds of thousands of years though, and might evolve into quite different kinds of humanoids than what we are now:
