A Real Viking Helmet

This Viking helmet from early Viking Age is one of the best preserved in the world, and is to be found at the treasuries of the National History Museum in Stockholm. As you can see it has no traces of horns, and this has never been found on any Viking helmet. The horn myth might bee one of the greatest PR-tricks ever, promoting our glorious past in the ages of romantic nationalism.
