The Excellent Mike Smith - A7III

I just found your channel, and I want to thank you for your slow and profound articulating. Too often vloggers talk too fast, but I can get all the meaning out of your clear pronouncing. I switched from an EOS 70D this last summer, to an a7iii, and too transformed from jpeg to raw.

I recently bought the MC11-adapter, and I thought it was broken, as my mother in law torn down my photography shelf of the wall, with my equipment on. Luckily my pc was insured, as it broke. But my problem is that it was soft focus on my EF f1.4, but I now see the lens is the problem, not the MC11. I think I will sell it after this video, as my Tamron 28-75 is too pin sharp at 50 mm f4.0. With the adapter on they're too almost equal big, so I don't see any reason to keep it if I can't use it at f1.4.

Now I need a wide angle prime, I'm thinking about 20 mm. I think about the Tokina Firin 20 mm f2.0, but if I buy an EF-lens to use it on my MC11, I can both buy a used one cheaper and if I go back to or supplement with an EOS R by time, I can use it on both camera systems with an adapter. So which EF-lens at about 20 mm would you recommend for my MC11-adapter and a7iii?

I do now edit my raw files in Lr CC only, but I know I need to go on to a more advanced option. I see many think Capture One is better for Sony. Do you recommend to put my effort into learning Capture One or Lightroom Classic?

Look forward to explore the rest of your tutorials, and recommended you on my blog👍
